Character Visibility
In Babble, character visibility determines who can see and interact with your created characters. Understanding these settings is crucial for managing your creations and their audience.
Visibility Options
1. Public
- Visible to all Babble users
- Appears in search results and public listings
- Anyone can start a conversation with the character
2. Unlisted
- Not visible in public listings or search results
- Accessible only via direct link
- Useful for sharing with specific users or groups
3. Private
- Visible only to you, the creator
- Ideal for personal use or testing
When to Use Each Visibility Option
Choose Public When:
- You want to share your character with the entire Babble community
- Your character is designed for widespread interaction
- You're open to feedback and engagement from various users
Choose Unlisted When:
- You want to share your character with a select group
- You're not ready for full public exposure but want to gather feedback
- You're creating characters for specific projects or collaborations
Choose Private When:
- You're still developing or testing the character
- The character contains personal or sensitive information
- You want to use the character solely for your own interactions
Changing Visibility Settings
- Navigate to your character's profile
- Look for the "Visibility" or "Privacy" section
- Select your desired visibility option
- Save the changes
Remember, you can always change the visibility settings as your needs or the character's purpose evolves.
Best Practices for Character Visibility
- Start with Private for initial testing and refinement
- Use Unlisted to gather feedback from a trusted group
- Go Public when you're confident in your character's interactions and content
By carefully managing your character's visibility, you can control their exposure and ensure they reach the right audience at the right time.
