Group Chats, New Character Creation, and More

Exciting updates this week:

• Group Chats: Group chats are going live very soon, still in beta testing, I'm getting closer to the finish line.
• New Character Creation Experience: I'm working on a new character creation experience, which will be more intuitive and user-friendly, and produce higher quality characters. This is currently in beta testing as well, and the feedback has been very positive. I'm looking forward to rolling this out to all users soon.
• Authentication Improvements: A new authentication system is now live, this system allows signing in with email ("Magic link") and google, as it did before, but now it also allows signing in with Discord.
• Tweaked Character Page: The character page has been tweaked a little bit, everything is now center aligned, and the character's name, image and bio is now in the center of the page.
• Delete Account & Data: You can now delete your account and all of its data, as it has been a concern for some users. You can do that by going to your profile page, clicking on the three dots on the top right -> preferences -> delete account.
  • Note that we will not delete your public characters, as some users might still want to interact with them, but we will remove all of your personal information, chats etc.
• Simplified Layout: The profile has moved to the top right, clearing the bottom/side bar to only have chats, explore and create.
• Rate Limiting: I'm now experimenting with rate limiting the chat and image generation, as usage has spiked recently, and I want to make sure the service is stable for everyone, and that we can scale it properly.
• Personality Traits: Personality traits is now out of beta, you can try it out by going creating/editing character, and it should appear under advanced settings.
